Crumple clenched fist leaf flings up
From damp earth’s deep urn and dark
On furied stipple stems fluorescent green
Vitality gleaned from seed pod potential
As it cracks plant cloven planet crust
While rumple root foot bare claws hard under
Ground held and dug dirt boulders hurled
Defeating death and grim gravity’s effect
Drawing a pure oxygen infused breath:
A rising seedling roars-
In sacred response to Christ’s cosmic call
Resounding pounding from space and throne
Bouncing off glory galaxy ceiling
Past asteroid belt and where elements melt
Through spiral spangled solar systems
Into ageless past expansion. Bang.
Word speaks power and liberty life echoes
A tiny verdant violent grace
