Hello, hello, come one, come all
Let me tell you about this holy day in fall
Set up to honor a church in Rome
Remembering those who have made their way home.
Come on everyone, get up and dance
God has given us a wonderful chance
Sing and shout, hip hip hooray!
It’s time to celebrate All Saints Day!
First we have Mary, destroyer of fear
Though she does get many days a year
As mother of God, she is the queen
Of Heaven and Earth and everything in between
Saint Peter, the rock, keeper of keys
And Paul, who was brought down to his knees,
Are hailed among the greatest teachers of all
Nothing seemed to stop them, not even a wall
Come on everyone, get up and dance
God has given us a wonderful chance

It’s time to celebrate All Saints Day!
Agnes was a lovely maiden, graceful and fair
And men all over sought her tender loving care
But she chose a more gruesome fate
So she could fly to her Lover’s pearly gates
Lucy also was a delight to see
But she chose the love of the Holy Three
And thought it better to lose her eyes
Than to be expected to worship a lie

It’s time to celebrate All Saints Day!
Saint Francis is a great one, that’s for sure
Though at first he sought glory and pleasure
But then a change came and he sought God’s glory
To work and pray, for decay was no worry
Saint Denis of Paris, on the other hand,
Spread the faith to a faraway land
Legend states God gave him a bit more time with his head
Before calling him to the halls of His homestead

Martin of Tours was a soldier, brave and true,
The one who cleaved his cloak into two
Joan of Arc led the French to resounding victory
But was condemned as a witch for obeying the Trinity
These, and so many more, the big names and the lesser known,
Are the fruits of the seed God has sown
And with Michael and the other heavenly beings
Gather around the royal throne in praise and singing
