A Prayer of Petition

by Joseph Tuttle (Rated G)

Give me Thine eyes
with which to see
those in dire trouble
who send You their plea.

Give me Thine ears
with which to hear
Your voice and others’
both far and near.

Give me Thine tongue
with which to speak
of Thy Kingdom to
those who art weak.

Give me Thine hands
with which to heal
the scars and wounds of
those who before You kneel.
