Night is day and day is night;
My mind is frayed and in fright!
Motions move and swirl inside;
Bubbling thoughts do ne’er subside.
Why, oh why, must I abide
These troubling thoughts that shan’t hide?
Old Adam die! Oh do die!
And let’s to paradise hie!
O Christ thine aid I do need!
Only in thee shall I be freed
From these ghastly fleshly weeds!
