Overhaste

Impatience is a poison.
‘Tis a cloud that covers wit.
It converts sense to chaos
And teareth cool temp’rance down.
Haste is a haughty hubris.
A flurry flows naught but death;
Death of reason and ex’lence
And wisdom seldom survives it.
Do always think more than twice
Lest ye live on rolling dice.
