But a Worm

By Jordan Ellis Christensen (aka J.C. Ellis)

Who am I to thee draw nigh?
and who am I that thou wouldst die?

by dying for my black soul
‘pon a tree and thus I extol,
for I in glory will dwell
and not perish in the flames of hell.
