…he started climbing again. Eventually he came to a wooden ceiling, or so it seemed to Jack. It was painted black. Jack realized he had reached the top of the sky! He looked down and gulped. He could not see his house anymore. Looking up, he noticed that the beanstalk grew through a hole in the ceiling…
Today is the day that many of us remember the life and ministry of St. Patrick. St. Patrick was a fifth century Bishop, who is known as the Enlightener of Ireland. As a young man, he didn’t care about God at all. He and several others were kidnapped by Irish pirates and taken to Ireland as slaves. While there, his heart was turned to God in repentance.
Steed of the angels it was called, steed of the genies, even, as only genies have ever been able to approach it without fear. But she could not understand, what was so scary about the peryton? As a woman, traditionally it is my role in partner dancing to follow my dance partner. Let me tell you that this has not always been easy for me, and still isn’t.
Lord Jesus, I lack custody of mine intellect. Mine imagination is incessantly summoning my traumas and my sins, troubling my heart and diverting me from contemplating Thee, Who art all deserving of my love. Among the enemies, am I.
The crystalline stars fall from the cloudy skies
Covering her and all else that in stillness lies
She looks up above as her thoughts drift into space
Of thoughts old and memories buried in cold lace…

The wind sent the cold, wet pelts of snow into his face, obscuring his view to three feet. Hot steam came out of his nose and mouth as he huffed and puffed, attempting to keep warm in the sub zero temperatures.
She was waiting for a letter. A specific letter. His letter. She did not know what it would say, of course, but she knew it would contain some anecdote to make her laugh , some odd suggestion or perhaps a joke to go along with the more serious subjects he would touch on…
